Transportation and Delivery

Delivery is guaranteed within 60 days from order or earlier by arrangement.

Our ability to meet supply and delivery times

ACMC's team has based its business on prompt service and delivery of quality products. For all projects, we are willing to guarantee delivery prior to the contracted delivery date.

Our ability to deliver on time is based on Xinxing's proven track record of :
  • Experience:  our partner's eight pipe and fittings manufacturing plants have been exporting products for 40 years and have developed systems that work and are proven.
  • Capacity:  our plants' 13,000 employees have the capacity to produce 8 million tonnes of Ductile Iron pipe and 4.6 million tonnes of fittings per year. Multiple manufacturing plants ensures there is virtually no impact on production if one is temporarily off line for maintenance.
  • Stability: our partner's production process is government controlled and our workforce is non-unionised. This reduces risks associated with industrial action or disputes.
  • Standard products: many products are available "off the shelf" and are ready for immediate shipment.

Our manufacturing partner's past performance as well as quality of products is reinforced by satisfied clients:

"Regarding delivery time, all the supplies including DN 1200 were delivered on site (ie unloaded at the port and transported by trucks to Sonede storage areas in Sousse, Megrine and other cities) well within contract terms, being 4 or 5 months from the opening of the concerned L/C."

Giampaolo Gargiulo, Hydro Italia Export Sonede - Tuni Water Supply Project, 2005.

Beyond this, our team has the ability to innovate and provide technical solutions to specific ground conditions and construction methods. ACMC offers an experienced technical and project management team featuring senior engineers and operational advisors, as well as a Xinxing engineer to conduct on-site training to installation contractors. Mostly Brisbane-based, this team has Australian and international experience in major water infrastructure development projects.

Product transportation

Xinxing products are delivered from production plants to the ports of Qingdao and / or Zhenjiang in China via rail freight for shipping to Australian ports. China's freight rail services are managed by the Ministry of Railways of the People's Republic of China.

As Xinxing (under the administration of China's National Assets Management Committee) and the railway are both government-owned they are supported by co-operative policies and agreements. For example, pipes and fittings are loaded for rail transport according to the government's 'Scheme for loading and fixing railway transportation goods'  and when large quantities of pipes are moved, the Beijing Railway Bureau develops monthly transport plans to mitigate any risks or potential delays in pipe transport schedules.

Logistics and shipping from the Port of Zhenjiang to Australian or New Zealand Ports is managed by Minmetals, a global leader in exporting and sea freighting with the supervision of an independent Cargo Surveyor contracted to ACMC. Minmetals manages ship loading and the management of sea transport risks including protrusions, hatch seal certificates and selected routes for best weather conditions.
